Elon Musk on robots and universal basic income at the World Government Summit
"There will be less and less work that a robot can't do better; I think eventually we will just make universal basic income, it will be necessary. A more difficult task, a much more difficult task - how will people be able to find the meaning of life?"
It is worth noting that Musk recently introduced his humanoid robot, designed to take on the performance of "repetitive and risky" tasks for humans due to his "concern" about population decline. Elon Musk plays both cards, as do many other characters in the ongoing show.
WEF technologists sharing their vision of the future:
- Our devices will know when we need them (Smart Cities). "We just ask "What's the weather like?" and the "necessary agent" turns on at the right time, "giving the right answer"
- The end of tiresomeness. Machines will perform all physical and repetitive mental tasks (a possible hint of UBI, less work for humanity). "The era of "humanoid robots" is over, and we have to come up with a new era. This means drastic changes in the structure of our economy and our society."
- Rewrite the code of life. "Gene editing technology will allow us to rebuild entire organisms." "This will allow us not only to edit genomes, but also, more importantly, to write a "new code of life." "We will have rights at the record level"
- Reduced reality. The technology will cut out unwanted sights and sounds. Looming on the horizon are "reduced reality glasses" that will allow you to cut out of sight everything you need, whether it's garbage or other people

We are merely "useless eaters" according to Klaus Schwab and the WEF
That was the plan. Are you missing President Donald Trump's "mean tweets" yet?
