After watching the video presentations concerning the library I am left with questions.First, how can the town continue to provide funds to an apparently illegally constituted board. If they are in fact illegally constituted the town board should not be dispersing funds to them since the town can not provide funds to an illegal body. The library board has no authority to receive fundsor spend any money. Second , who is paying for the attorney that the library board has hired? Are they using library funds? Are the Friends of the Library footing the bill?Friends of the Library has no funds of their own since that group is also illegally operating.

What stands out is how Reynolds doesn't care if the board could be illegal and/or that maybe this whole debacle originated under his watch as Deputy Supervisor, just cut the check because "this is taking too long."

Then "who cares about the "legal curly-cues" Kirkpatrick wants to see "book stacking" experience on resumes of potential trustee appointments. Incredible!

I'm with Pat, don't give release any funds until this matter is resolved along with their finances fully disclosed and up to date. Maybe by that time someone can flush out that hidden cash they're using to pay for their high priced legal representation.
