to keep residents in the dark. Have you watched the videotape of the June 18, 2008 Special Board Meeting yet?
Highway Superintendent Roger Cleveland handed out an 8 1/2" x 11" map of the the New Hartford Business Park project to the town council and referred to Road A, Road B, Road C & D. A couple of times he slipped up and mentioned Woods Highway and Whitestown Town line. It is almost a comedy...at times the town council was even confused as to just what Roger meant.
Funny, shortly after Earle Reed took office, it was decided that they would spend $2,500 to purchase Power Point computer equipment to be used for making public presentations. Given the fact that this road work is being funded by $2.9 million of tax revenues that for the most part would have gone towards the school budget over the next 15 years, one has to wonder how come they didn't use the equipment and make a presentation so that everyone in attendance could see what they were talking about. Wouldn't you be interested in just how they are spending your school tax dollars? What are they hiding?
If you haven't looked at the videotape yet, please be sure to take a peek...it's only 22 minutes long. We will be referring back to this videotape...very shortly. Stay tuned!
By the way, on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 there will be another meeting regarding stormwater "fixes". This time they will address the Woodberry/Beechwood Road areas. Meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the New Hartford High School Auditorium.
