Everyday is public comment day....

That's the explanation given at tonight's Stormwater Group meeting when asked why there was no public meeting for comments and questions regarding the report on Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Municipal Compliance Certification Form that is to be submitted to the D.E.C. annually.

In other words, folks, silence is golden in New Hartford. Your silence allows this "regime" to stick it to you. Because, obviously, if you had any questions or wished to make any comments you would speak up, right?

What's that you say? You haven't seen the annual report, so how can you ask questions or make comments? Don't feel bad, the report was just handed out to the Stormwater Committee tonight and we just happen to have a copy for your review that we obtained through a Freedom of Information request. Any questions or comments, please direct them to Roger Cleveland, Highway Superintendent or Kurt Schwenzfeier, Town Planner. They are standing by waiting for your input!

By the way, in case you were wondering what areas the town plans to focus their attention to in regards to the $2 million stormwater bond, we just happen to have a copy of that too.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. It looks like J.C. Waskiewicz, Town Councilman, Ward 2 was telling the truth at last week's Town Board Meeting when he "challenged" Roger Cleveland as to what was "really" said at a prior Storm Water Committee Meeting.

Now there is a tape to back Mr. Waskiewicz up and to prove that Robert Payne III, Town Councilman and Dave Reynolds entered into a conspiracy of lies and deceit before the Town.

Shame, shame, shame on you guys. It always pays to tell the truth.

Now guess where this tape is going?

The public will soon know that people who fabricate stories get caught.

Looks like my stormwater problem, which I have begged the town to fix for over 7 years now, is not in their plan. Interesting that the wealthy subdivisions get their fixes, though.

:( :(

Just try listening to the antics of Ed DeSanctis, one of Earle Reed's stool pigeons. This guy thinks he is the problem solver for the Town. In fact, he believes his role on the Storm Water Committee is to "serve" Roger Cleveland, Town Highway Superintendent. So much for partnership and consensus.

Interestingly, this guy's claim to fame is an alleged water problem that does not come close to what other town residents have been experiencing.

There is another player on this Committee who does not believe in giving out his e-mail to communicate. This guy is part of the dinosaur era and one whose communication skills are seriously lacking. Always confrontational.

Just a thought to more visualize the FOIL process and to put the Town on record. Next time you file or everytime you file a FOIL, post it on the homepage and say what your looking for when you filed whom with and then any updates that occur along the way. I think that if people see that they will realize that citizens are not getting there fair wack at gov.

Great idea! I will start posting FOIL requests on the front page of both Concerned Citizens and New Hartford, N.Y. Online.

Also if anyone has questions regarding any documents referenced in the minutes of meetings or any other document of question and wants us to submit a FOIL request, please email us. We will see to it that the FOIL request is filed with the Town Clerk.

Excellent Idea on the foil request on the frontpage. You can also add a "Day counter" (they're available online) that says example:

This Foil request has taken XX days:XX hours: and XX munutes so far.

That would further reinforce what a corrupt, secretive bunch of sleazeballs this town admin is.

I cannot wait, just CAN'T WAIT until elections, several friends and I already plan on going door to door to point out your site, and make absolutely sure, in no politically correct terms what a bunch of degenerates this town has in office.

This has gone on for far too long, and there's nothing that's going to stop whats coming next.
