Tonight, February 28th, is the first of two public informational meetings regarding the $4.6+ million bonding proposal to be voted on March 29, 2007. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. at Butler Hall.
This is your opportunity to ask any question(s) that you may have regarding the eight (8) bond resolutions and hopefully, we might get some "real" answers. So far, the answers have been sparse and in some instances contradictory. We were amazed at some of the information we received this week as a result of Freedom Of Information requests that we filed. When people give you blank stares and paperwork that contradicts what they are saying publicly, you have to wonder what is being hidden. We will be posting some of the FOIL responses we have been given over the next few weeks so you can see for yourself that a) the town is engaging in practices that go against General Municipal Town Law b) the people in charge don't know what they are doing c) the people in charge think we are idiots d) all of the above.
I hope that if at all possible you will try to attend this "informational" meeting.
